Ishiya has revealed that it is working with Nintendo to produce special packages of biscuits that feature the Animal Crossing character Marshal, who is originally known as Jun in Japan. The company will sell these packages for ¥4,600 (~$28.25) at Nintendo’s temporary Pop-Up Store in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.
The biscuit will come from the Shiroi Koibito (White Lover) brand, and it will have a full title in French: Chocolat Blanc et Langue de Chat (White Chocolate and Cat’s Tongue), although the Japanese cat’s tongue biscuits are instead being shaped into squares. A pack will contain a total of 36 biscuits, consisting of 27 biscuits with white chocolate and the remaining 9 with black ones.
Although Marshal initially appeared in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, which came out first in Japan for Nintendo 3DS in November 2012, the new biscuit package will particularly feature his appearance in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The latter game is readily available worldwide on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2.
The Hokkaido Chocolat Blanc et Langue de Chat biscuits featuring Marshal from Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be available in a limited amount at the Nintendo Pop-Up Store on the 7th floor of Daimaru Sapporo from August 14 to September 6, 2026.
